So, while planning for a tennis court the cheapest type of materials should not be accepted and you should always opt for the best quality of surface. The size of the tennis court should not be altered or else you might not be able to play in the actual sized court.

Types of tennis courts

There are mainly three types of tennis courts where the game is played. The three types of courts are:

Clay courts

When it comes to clay courts, they are made from bricks or crushed stones and are reddish orange in color. They are sometimes green in color. So, playing on the clay courts is not an easy task as the ball bounces a lot. On this type of court the game is defensive as the players stay at the baselines and they seldom go for the power shots.

Grassy courts

The grassy courts are found very rare. This type of courts need a good maintenance and so in order to save time and money these courts are avoided nowadays. The ball skits through the grass courts and so it is considered to be the fastest of all tennis court.

Hard courts

The hard courts are the most common type of tennis court where tennis is played but it is not the fastest type of tennis court. But, still it is faster than the clay courts. The hard courts are made up of cement or some type of synthetic materials. Playing on this type of court is favorable to all and is unlike others that prefers certain type of style. So, it depends on you which type of tennis court would be preferable for you.
